Boards to Beats ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our website and application (collectively, the "Service"). Please read this policy carefully. If you disagree with its terms, please discontinue use of the Service.
We collect information you provide directly to us, information we collect automatically when you use the Service, and information from third-party sources.
Information you provide directly:
Information collected automatically:
We use the information we collect to provide, improve, and personalize the Service. Specifically, we use your information to:
Marketing emails: You can opt out of receiving marketing emails from us at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in those emails or by contacting us directly. We will not send you promotional messages without your consent.
We support two methods of accessing Pinterest boards: (1) publicly available boards, which require no authentication, and (2) private boards, which require you to authenticate via Pinterest's OAuth flow and explicitly grant Boards to Beats read-only access to your boards and pins. When you authenticate via Pinterest OAuth, we request only the minimum scopes required (boards:read, pins:read) and do not access your Pinterest profile data, follower information, analytics, or any data beyond the board images you select. Pinterest access tokens are stored only for the duration of your active session and are not retained after you disconnect your Pinterest account or log out.
We do not access any Pinterest data that you have not explicitly selected for processing. We do not scrape Pinterest at scale, build Pinterest user databases, or aggregate content from boards that do not belong to you.
In accordance with Pinterest's Developer Guidelines and API Terms of Service, we also commit to the following:
Pinterest's own privacy practices: Your use of Pinterest is governed by Pinterest's own Privacy Policy and Terms of Service, which are independent of this document. We recommend reviewing Pinterest's policies at pinterest.com/privacy-policy and their Developer Guidelines at policy.pinterest.com/en/developer-guidelines.
When you upload audio files or connect music tracks to the Service:
We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to operate the Service. These technologies help us keep you logged in, remember your preferences, and understand how you interact with the Service.
Types of cookies we use:
You can control non-essential cookies through your browser settings or our cookie preference center. Note that disabling certain cookies may affect Service functionality.
Pinterest OAuth and cookies: When you connect your Pinterest account via OAuth, Pinterest may set its own cookies on your device as part of the authentication process. These cookies are governed by Pinterest's Cookie Policy, not ours. If you are in the EU or EEA, Pinterest's cookie consent flow will apply during the OAuth login step.
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following limited circumstances:
We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to provide the Service and fulfill the purposes described in this policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.
You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time (see Section 8).
Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information. We honor these rights regardless of where you are located:
California residents (CCPA/CPRA): You have the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to delete it, the right to opt out of sale (we do not sell your data), and the right to non-discrimination for exercising your rights.
EEA/UK residents (GDPR): You have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority if you believe we have not handled your data in accordance with applicable law.
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the information in Section 13. We will respond to verified requests within 30 days.
The Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without parental consent, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.
If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13, please contact us immediately at the address in Section 13.
We take the security of your information seriously. We implement and maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and physical security measures designed to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction.
However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. In the event of a data breach that affects your rights and freedoms, we will notify you and relevant authorities as required by law.
The Service may contain links to third-party websites, including Pinterest, streaming platforms, and other services. These links are provided for your convenience. We have no control over the content or privacy practices of those sites, and this Privacy Policy does not apply to them. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party services you visit.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, legal requirements, or other factors. When we make material changes, we will notify you by:
Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy. If you do not agree to the updated policy, you should stop using the Service and may request deletion of your account.
